Walking the Path Together

Meditation is not only an individual journey — it is deeply supported by practicing within a community.

When we practice together, we can:

• Encourage one another
• Stay motivated over time
• Share experience and understanding
• Feel supported on the path

For this reason, our local community is connected with a wider international practice network.

This allows practitioners to remain connected and supported, even when they cannot meet in person regularly.

A Living Lineage

Our meditation path is part of a living lineage with roots in Tibet.

Guidance comes from experienced lineage teachers who continue to transmit these teachings today.

Currently, there is no permanently based lineage teacher in Europe. Therefore, support happens in two main ways:

• Regular Online Guidance

Practitioners receive ongoing support through online teachings and practice sessions.

This allows continuous learning and connection regardless of location.

In-Person Visits from Teachers

When lineage teachers travel to Europe, practitioners have the opportunity to:

• Meet them in person
• Receive direct guidance
• Participate in retreats and group practice

These moments of in-person connection are especially valuable for deepening the practice.

An International Practice Network

JOYUP Mindfulness is connected with two main practice communities:

English-Speaking Practice Community:

Ah-Lama

An international group offering:

• Regular online meditation sessions
• Teachings and guidance in English with possibility of translation in French
• Opportunities to connect with practitioners across Europe and beyond

Chinese-Speaking Practice Community:

拉日禅修

This community provides:

• Online practice opportunities
• Teachings and guidance in Chinese with possibility of translation in English
• A shared space for practitioners worldwide

Our Local Focus

While connected internationally, our primary intention remains simple:

To build a warm, supportive local meditation community in Germany where people can practice together in everyday life.

The wider network exists to support this local growth — not to replace it.
